Previous Story 10/24/2018: Trainers, new Special Research quests will be coming to Pokemon Go and this time players will have a chance to catch the new Mythical Pokemon Meltan.
The two Professors, Professor Oak and Professor Willow, found a new Mystery Box. When Professor Oak opened the box in his laboratory, he found a rusty lump of metal inside. This rusty lump is composed of the same elements as Meltan.
He then sent the Mystery Box to Professor Willow, and here is what happened:
In order to catch Meltan, it is essential to have a Mystery Box, which can be received by sending Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! When the Box is received, players will have a limited time of 30 minutes to catch Meltan in Pokemon Go before the Box closes.
The only way to open the Mystery Box again is to wait a set amount of time before transferring more Pokemon over.
