Pokemon Go Players from the US Spent the Most in 2018, Worldwide Revenue Nearly $800 Million

Trainers, Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data shows that Pokemon Go had a great year when it comes down to revenue making nearly $800 million from in-game purchases worldwide, which is 35% more than what the game made in 2017.
Niantic and Pokemon Go had a great 2018, making around $2.2 million a day, up from $1.6 million in 2017. The data shows that only in December 2018, the game made $75 million, which is 32% over the $57.2 million the same month in 2017.
So, who spent the most in 2018?
Pokemon Go players from the US spent the most in the game during 2018 – a whooping $262 million or 33% of all gross revenue. The Japanese players comes second with $239 million or 30% of the revenue.
According to Sensor Tower, Pokemon Go made $2.2 billion IAP revenue since the launch in 2016. Please have in mind that IAPs isn’t the only way the company makes money. They also make revenue from sponsored locations and real-world events.
