The tickets for the upcoming Special Research “A Drive to Investigate” went live today and those who want to participate can get their $7.99 ticket from the in-game shop and enjoy the tasks, rewards, bonuses, etc, during the Genesect Research.
Now, everyone is worried about their health and don’t want to risk to go outside just to get a Genesect. Well, I got great news for you all! The Genesect Special Research can be played from home!
Yes, that’s right! Niantic confirmed that the “A Drive to Investigate” Special Research is DESIGNED to be playable without group gameplay and you can just stay at home, open the Pokemon Go app during the event times, complete the given tasks and get yourself a Genesect!

The “A Drive to Investigate” Special Research is going live this weekend, starting on March 20 at 8 AM to March 26 at 10 PM wherever you are.
NOTE: There is a bug causing the Special Research A Drive to Investigate to appear as A Colossal Discovery and you can’t purchase the ticket. In this case, restart or reinstall the app and it will appear under the correct name.
