Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go canceled the Safari Zone event in ST. Loius due to COVID-19 situation and they will refund the players who got tickets.
The Safari Zone St. Louis was scheduled to go live this month from March 27 until March, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Niantic and Pokemon Go decided to cancel/postpone the event to a later date.
Players who got their tickets can ask for a refund only until March 25. 2020 at 11:59 PT. Those who will not ask for a refund can use the ticket for the rescheduled Safari Zone event.
So, how to ask for a refund? Here are the steps:
- From the Map View, open the Main Menu
- At the top right, tap Settings
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Get Support
- On iOS, tap Contact Us in the upper right corner
- On Android, tap the message button
Now, what is quite interesting is that Niantic and Pokemon Go will ‘turn on’ the bonuses, but only for ticket holders. This means that if you ask for a refund, you’ll not be able to participate in this ‘bonus event.’
As an added bonus for those who retain their tickets, we will activate the Safari Zone Pokémon encounters and Special Research globally during the original scheduled event hours (in your local time zone) so that you can still enjoy the event from wherever you are in the world. Only ticket holders will be able to experience this bonus event.
