UPDATE Pokemon Go Worldwide Raid Invitations

Update: Trainers, due to technical issues Niantic and Pokemon Go will not be able to launch the ability to invite Friends to Raids this month.

Previous Story: Trainers, you’ll able to invite up to five friends to participate in Raids no matter where they are located in the world at the moment when you sent the invitation.

Since the beginning of the Raid era in Pokemon GO, players have been asking for a feature that would allow them to organize raids. It seems like Niantic is ready to work on it. On what we know right now when the feature is out, you will be able to invite up to 5 people to participate in your organized raid.

The feature will work in a way that when it will be available, you will see a + button in the raid lobbies. When you tap on the button, you will be able to invite up to 5 people to join. Your friends will see these notifications on their Nearby screen or push notifications. The pass will be usable when the battle starts, not when they join the lobby.

According to their announcement, the feature will be released the day when Reshiram will no longer be available in Raids, June 16, 2020 at 1 PM PDT.
