Pokemon Go Senior Product Manager Talks about Mega Evolutions, Level Cap Increase and Future Planes

We are glad to inform you that the PoGO Product Lead, Matthew Slemon, shared many exciting things they are planning for the game in the near future.

The first thing that Matthew was asked was to explain more about Mega Evolution. He said that every existing Pokemon up to this moment will be available for a Mega Evolution. The very first Charizard you had, up to the very last one. He said that they will release more details soon.

The next topic up for discussion was about the level cap. This is probably the most frequent question we have ever seen. They are aiming for a different experience for past level 40. Matt stated that they want the experience not to be with building up experience, but with something else. They are working on that “something else” factor as we are speaking. They will announce this later this year.

Last but not least, Matthew reported that they are planning much cool stuff for the rest of the year. He said that there will be more Pokemon, more events, more everything. They are really aiming at making Pokemon GO an everlasting game, a game where you will not uninstall it when you reach the maximum level, but a game to which you are coming back over and over again.
