As you all know, the weekly event called The Spotlight Hour, puts its focus on a special Pokemon, paired up with a bonus effect. In the beginning, this bonus effect was a part of the Mystery Bonus hour, but it was later decided to move it to The Spotlight Hour at the beginning of April 2020.
During the particular hour, that special, chosen Pokemon will appear more often in the wild, which is great if you are collecting candies, or just hunting for the perfect 100%. If you do not have that particular Pokemon, it will fill in the missing entry in the Pokedex.
The bonus effect might be something like “Double transfer candy,” “Double catch stardust,” which can help you to either evolve the Pokemon or power it up.
The October events will be happening every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. local time. Something that is great about this event is that every Tuesday there will be different bonuses and different highlighted Pokemon.
On Tuesday, October 6, 2020, the chosen Pokemon will be World Cap Pikachu, with earning twice the XP for catching Pokemon. The next Tuesday, October 13, 2020, Original Cap Pikachu will be the special one, with earning twice the Candy for catching Pokemon. On October 20, 2020, we will not have a version of Pikachu, this time will be Shuppet in the spotlight, with earning twice the Candy for transferring Pokemon. The last Tuesday of October, Duskull will appear more in the wild, paired up with the bonus effect of earning twice the XP for evolving Pokemon.
