Pokemon Go January 2021 List of Events

Niantic is great at arranging celebrations for the New Year, arrivals of new Pokemon, and many more.

At the very start of 2021, we have gotten themed Pokemon that are appearing in the wild, such as Slowpoke that is wearing 2020 glasses. If you decide to evolve this version of Slowpoke, it will become a Slowbro, but with 2021 glasses. There are many themed Pokemon, like Pichu with a festive hat. All of these celebrations are accompanied by Candy bonuses and Stardust bonuses. Keep in mind that these festivities will end on January 4th, 2021.

The new Featured Pokemon that you will get from the Breakthrough Research is Chansey. As stated, Niantic will be celebrating the Pokemon regions, so each week we will be getting encounters from the featured region, so from January 5th, 2021 to January 12th, 2021, Unova Region will be celebrated, with Lillipup as the emphasized Pokemon. From January 12th to January 19th, 2021, the Sinnoh region will be in the spotlight, with Drifloon as the main Pokemon. For the next few days, until January 26th, 2021, the celebrated region will be Hoenn, with Shroomish in the spotlight, and from January 26th, 2021, to February 2nd, 2021, the Johto region will take the dancefloor with its main “dancer” being Phanpy. The featured Pokemon will be available every Tuesday in January, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The featured Pokemon for Community Day in January will be Machop, which will be happening on January 16th, 2021 from 11:0 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be an exclusive research mission at the cost of $1, special bonuses, and a Machamp with the Vendetta movement when evolved from Machoke. As always, we will have a special bundle that will include a charged attack elite TM, 4 Incense, 4 Star Chunks, and 30 Ultra Balls at the cost of 1280 coins.

You might be asking yourself, what about Legendary Pokemon? Well, we will have plenty of them through January. Starting on January 1st, 2021, we will get Ho-Oh (with an increased chance of getting the Shiny version) as a Raid boss, so be sure to grab it before it leaves us on January 5th, 2021. Next, Genesect will be visiting us in five-star Raids on January 5th, 2021, and will leave the Raids on January 12th, 2021.

This Pokemon will appear with its variation Piro. Heatran will come on January 12th and will stay with us until January 19th, and maybe you will get the Shiny version of it. The weather duo Kyogre and Groudon (excluding Rayquaza) with their Shiny versions, will be available from January 19th to January 26th, 2021. From this day, January 26th, we do not know which Pokemon will occupy the five-star Raids, as Niantic has stated that this will be a surprise for us.

Fun times are ahead of us, so make sure to get prepared for it. Keep on checking our website for additional information on which Pokemon is next.
