Pokemon Go Player Holds Gym for 1,332 Days, Brags Online and the Gym Gets Taken Down by a Spoofer Minutes After

In every game, there is a cheater. Pokemon GO is no exception to this rule too. Sometimes cheats make the game more fun, but in the case of the most popular game on the market, cheaters are one of the most disliked players.

There is a quite good reason for disliking them too. Recently, a PoGO player going by the name BootsMade4Walking has posted on Reddit the one thing they felt proud about, holding a gym with Ninetales for three and a half years or exactly 1,332 days. The location (later revealed) was in Blue Mountain Observatory near Lolo, Montana, and the only way you could get there is if you decide to go hiking. BootsMade4Walking explained that they were there in 2017 when Lolo was burning to work on a fire tower adjacent.

Not much time had passed, and Ninetales was kicked out of the gym, presumably by a spoofer. They must’ve figured out from the picture that BootsMade4Walking posted. Many players warned the Reddit user that this will happen, but the player did not listen.

The moral of the story, please do not spoof or cheat in any way, because it will ruin a streak or a goal some people are trying to achieve, and it’s not cool at all.
