Battlefield 4’s Kimble “Irish” Graves is Ready For His Comeback in Battlefield 2042, Biography and More

The old, renowned agent from the Battlefield 4 video game is ready to make his comeback and prevent a monstrous disaster in Battlefield 2042. As we have seen in the latest Exodus short movie published by EA, Irish is back as a leader of the multi-factioned No-Pats, and also as a playable specialist. Known for his skills, actions, and specialty, he’s one of the favorite characters that are making a comeback to Battlefield 2042.

In a recent thread on the official EA forums, developers have discovered the biography and purpose of Kimble “Irish” Graves, including his class and abilities that will be present in Battlefield 2042. Irish comes in Battlefield 2042 as a leader of one of the No-Pats groups. Irish hates when someone doubts his commandeering skills, unlike his colleagues, he decides to mend his own people. He has a lot of disagreements with Oz, a leader of another No-Pats group, and both of them have completely different perspectives on the current world.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at Kimble “Irish” Graves traits and abilities. An engineer, with a specialty in fortification systems, and a battle-hardened Veteran trait. If you’re eager to jump in details, check the descriptive list of his abilities below:

Battlefield 2042 Kimble “Irish” Graves Traits and Abilities

DCS Deployable cover

You can place the cover on nearly any flat surface, creating a small protective barrier that allows your allies to see out through its bulletproof glass. This barrier can protect you and allies from incoming fire until its health pool is depleted.  As Irish, you can place multiple covers on a map.

Need to revive someone? Protect yourself against a sniper attack in the open? Hold the capture point for just a few more precious seconds? Using multiple covers, you can create your own small outposts to help you buy time. Obtaining some medical and ammo crates and teaming up with Boris and his SG-36 Sentry Gun will allow you to build your own castle-like fort.

APS-36 Shootdown Sentinel

The APS-36 is a rocket’s worst nightmare. Once placed into the world on nearly any flat surface, it eliminates incoming explosive projectiles within proximity (grenades, rockets, etc), turning a once deadly weapon into a puff of smoke.

Placing the APS-36 next to a vehicle will give it automatic protection from incoming missiles while placing it behind cover can force the enemy to reposition in their attack. But beware: an EMP or savvy hack attack can put the system out of action.

Veteran

Irish’s Veteran trait allows him to dig in and stay alive. He will always spawn with a small amount of body armor that can be replenished whenever he collects dropped ammo packs from defeated foes.

Unlike the last couple of Battlefield series, Battlefield 2042 seems to have leaned onto the lore foundation quite firmly, aside from all the exciting news and features that are arriving in Battlefield 2042.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
