Pokemon Go Power Up PokeStops and Gyms Feature is on the Way

Trainers, a new Power Up PokeStops and Gyms feature was discovered in Pokemon Go’s GM file and it seems like all players will get the bonuses at the Powered Up PokeStop or Gym.

According to the world’s greatest Pokemon Go dataminers, a new Power Up PokeStops and Gyms feature is right around the corner. At a PokeStop, wild Pokemon will appear more frequently. At a Gym, you’ll have bonus Premier Balls in the Pokemon encounter after you win a Raid Battle.

PokeMiners were kind enough to share the details about this feature, so let’s take a look at what is Powered Up PokeStop/Gym and how to power up.

Power Up PokeStops

  • All Trainers will get the bonus to the PokeStop that gets powered up
  • At a PokeStop, wild Pokemon will appear more frequently
  • Limited Power Up bonus
  • How to Power Up? You can Power Up a PokeStop through Photo and AR submissions – If you scan this location or add a photo, the location will gain location points. When the location is powered up, it will provide bonuses depending on its level; or via Lucky Photo Disc Spin – While spinning a Photo Disc at a PokéStop or Gym, stop the Photo Disc where it started to add a location point
  • When you spin the location’s Photo Disc while your buddy is walking with you, your buddy will get a heart
  • With this feature, you can scan PokéStops and Gyms by walking around their real-world locations and recording videos with your smart device. These scans will contribute to the creation of 3D maps of those locations
  • There will be different levels, and each level has different bonuses

Power Up Gyms

  • All Trainers will get bonuses at this Gym
  • At a Gym, you’ll have bonus Premier Balls in the Pokémon encounter after you win a Raid Battle
