Trainers, the Festival of Lights is a new event in Pokemon Go, featuring new Pokemon Dedenne, shiny Pokemon encounters, various bonuses, and different field research tasks and rewards.
The Pokemon Go Festival of Lights event runs from November 5, 2021, to November 14, 2021, and you’ll be able to complete new field research tasks and earn Pokemon encounters and items.
There are a total of 8 different field research tasks that one must complete.
Festival of Lights Field Research Tasks Rewards
- Catch 5 different species of Electric-type Pokemon: Blitzle (can be shiny)
- Catch 5 Electric-type Pokemon: Electrike (can be shiny), Magnemite (can be shiny)
- Catch 5 Fire-type Pokemon: Vulpix (can be shiny), Litleo
- Defeat 2 Team Go Rocket Grunts: Blitzle (can be shiny)
- Power up Pokemon 10 times: Dedenne
- Send 5 Gifts to Friends: Electabuzz (can be shiny), Magmar (can be shiny)
- Send 7 Gifts to Friends: Darumaka (can be shiny)
- Walk 1km: x10 PokeBall
The next part of the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research is available to complete with the start of the Festival of Lights events, and soon we will be able to participate in the special end-of-season event.
