Trainers, the mysterious event called April Fools’ 2-Oh?-22 is a one-day event to celebrate April’s Fools Day, and it looks like we’re getting Ditto quests, Special Research featuring Ditto and new Ditto disguises. Also, we have some details about the upcoming Team Go Rocket event, so you can find more info below.
The April Fools’ 2-Oh?-22 Ditto event runs only for one day, which runs from April 1, 2022, at 12 AM to April 1, 2022, at 11:59 PM local time. During this period different Pokemon can be disguised as Ditto, players can complete a three-step Ditto Special Research, and catch shiny Ditto.

- Ditto can now be disguised as Ekans, Gastly, Natu, Surskit, Finneon, Lillipup, Dwebble, and Swirlix
Now, as mentioned above, there is a new text in the GM file hinting at the upcoming Team Go Rocket All-Hands Rocket Retreat event. This event will run from April 3, 2022, to April 7, 2022. During this time, Team Go Rocket Leaders will be spawning more often, and we must beat the Leaders and the Team Go Rocket Boss Giovanni to save the Pokemon Go world.

Oh, thank goodness. I’ve had the most befuddling day.
The Pokémon in the area were behaving strangely, so, as always, I turned to you to help me find out why—but to my confusion, you just stared at me blankly and bit straight into a Nanab Berry!
The next thing I knew, “you” had transformed into a Ditto! Or perhaps I have that backwards? Whatever the case, it seems that all the oddly behaving Pokémon I’ve seen today were in fact Ditto in disguise.
Hm? You noticed it too, did you?
And you saw a Ditto that had transformed to look like me? Incredible!
As you’ve experienced, Ditto have the fascinating ability to reconstitute their entire cellular structure to transform into whatever they see.
Do you… Do you think there’s a chance that other Trainers you’ve passed on the street were actually Ditto? I suppose there’s no way to know for sure…
