Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go are launching a new Daily Adventure Incense item, and to celebrate players around the globe will have a chance to complete the new A Mysterious Incense Special Research and earn Daily Adventure Incense.
A Mysterious Incense Special Research has two parts. For the first part, you just have to claim the reward and you will receive 1x Daily Adventure Incense and 1000 XP. In the second part of the Mysterious Incense Research, you must complete two different sets of tasks. The tasks are not that hard, but it will take time to complete the Special Research.

- Rewards: 25 Poke Ball, Ponyta, and 500 Stardust
A Mysterious Incense Stage 2/2
- Use 6 Daily Adventure Incense: 1000 XP
- Use Daily Adventure Incense to help catch 100 Pokemon: 1000 XP
- Walk 10km: 1000 XP
- Rewards: 2500 XP, 2500 Stardust, and Dodrio
What are your thoughts about the new Daily Adventure Incense item in Pokemon Go?
I don’t understand how I’m supposed to finish it. I didn’t even catch 10 Pokémon with the first one and I don’t know how to get another so I can finish it
you have to walk around for incense pokémon to show up
You’re missing a huge piece of the second part of the mysterious incense part 2: the Pokemon that is the reward for completing it. You just mentioned the 2500 XP and the stardust, but left out what Pokemon will appear with the “mysterious Pokemon appear” reward.
I’m not sure if this was an oversight or if you’re just not sure which one appears, but I would add that in so as not to confuse people, like myself.
As far as I’ve seen, everyone else who is listed the rewards online has the second Pokemon reward left blank, so I’m not sure if it is common knowledge yet or not, but you at least might want to put that there is a reward of a Pokemon encounter.

I didn’t either. I asked tech support and they said they’re rolling it out over a few days. It seems unfair to do it that way, and I’m not thrilled. All or nothing! If it’s not ready for release, it shouldn’t be released.
