Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go are celebrating the sixth anniversary of Pokemon Go with a special in-game event, the Anniversary Event. The Anniversary event is underway, and a new Ultra Unlock Anniversary Event Timed Research quest is now available for everyone. The Ultra Unlock Anniversary Event Research has six different parts, so we recommend checking out the quest tasks and rewards below.
Pokemon Go’s Anniversary Event is going live on July 6, 2022, at 10 AM local time and players will have a chance to enjoy all features and bonuses until July 12, 2022, at 8 PM local time. Also, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced a Battle Weekend Event starting on July 9, 2022, at 12 AM, to July 10, 2022, at 11:59 PM local time. During the Battle Weekend Event, players will have a chance to participate in a Battle Weekend Challenge Timed Research and complete all the quests and earn cool rewards.
The Ultra Unlock Anniversary Event Research is a Timed Research and players have to complete all parts to earn cool rewards. The Anniversary Event Research has six stages, each stage offering different tasks and rewards.

- Catch 15 Pokemon: 15 Poke Ball
- Catch 5 different species of Pokemon: 10 Great Ball

- Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokemon: 500 Stardust

- Claim Reward x6: 6000 XP
- Rewards: Wash Rotom, and 2500 XP
The Pokemon Go Anniversary Event is a perfect event to catch the new costume Pokemon, and their shiny forms, encounter Pansear and shiny Pansear. Also, the new Field Research tasks are not that hard to complete, so it’s a perfect way to earn extra rewards.
