What’s Coming to MultiVersus with Season 1?

Rick & Morty, new game modes and finally, a Ranked Mode.

During EVO 2022’s MultiVersus tournament, Tony Huynh, MultiVersus’ Game Director, stepped onto the scene to give fans a glimpse of what’s coming to MultiVersus with Season 1. Within a tiny but precious snapshot, he had the privilege to share a couple of new features coming to the game soon.

MultiVersus Season 1 Upcoming Content

Alongside new characters, the game will receive a couple of new game modes allowing fans to team up and tackle new barriers within the MultiVerse.

Rick & Morty and other characters

Rick and Morty are the following characters joining the MultiVerse. However, they are not the only ones to be a part of the Season 1 content, as others will arrive too. So far, we cannot hold Player First Games accountable, as they are executing whatever they promised in the past couple of months.

New Cosmetics

Players will get the opportunity to increase their clothing options with new cosmetics that will arrive with Season 1.

Classic Arcade Mode

Classic Arcade Mode is a new game mode, and as far as it was revealed, it will be cooperative.

Ranked Mode

The long-awaited Ranked Mode will be available with the release of Season 1. Currently, the game includes a somewhat weird matchmaking rating, which is character-based. As you may have noticed, those who have started playing later have difficulties climbing the ranks, and everyone is looking forward to the release of the Ranked Mode. It’s safe to assume that this Ranked Mode may contain a slightly different algorithm that will keep a count of all mistakes, knockouts, dodges, damage done and ability usage.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
