Pokemon Go January 2023 Community Day Featuring Chespin and Shiny Chespin

Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced the first Community Day in 2023, and we are happy to say that the Spiny Nut Pokemon will be featured during January 2023 Community Day.

Chespin is the first Community Day Pokemon in 2023 and starting on January 7, 2023, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time Pokemon Go players will see Chespin more often in the wild. Shiny Chespin will be available during the event,

January 2023 Community Day Pokemon and Bonuses

• Start and End time and date: January 7, 2023, from 2 PM- 5 PM local time
• Featured Pokemon Chespin
• Chespin can be shiny
• Evolve Quilladin (Chespin’s Evolution) during the event or up to five hours afterward to get a Chesnaught that knows the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant
• Community Day Special Research story: Quality Quills
• 2× Candy for catching Pokemon
• 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon
• 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last three hours
• Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise
• One additional Special Trade can be made, for a maximum of two for the day*
• Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust*
• *While most bonuses are only active during the three hours of the event, these bonuses will be active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time
• Bonus Raid Battles after Community Day. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Chespin to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes
• Quilladin will appear in four-star raids
• Bonus for completing four-star Raid Battles
• New themed stickers
