Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go are celebrating the year of the rabbit with a special in-game event the Lunar New Year 2023.
The Lunar New Year 2023 brings new Field Research tasks and Pokemon encounters, and by completing the tasks you may end up getting a shiny encounter. You can encounter the following shiny Pokemon: Charmander, Paras, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Chimchar, Combee, Buneary, Tepig, Darumaka, Galarian Darumaka, and Bunnelby.
So without further ado, let’s take a look at all Field Research tasks and rewards available during the Lunar New Year 2023 event.
NOTE: Darumaka and Galarian Darumaka’s shiny chance is currently boosted and is 1/64.
Lunar New Year 2023 Field Research
- Catch 25 Pokemon: Darumaka, and Galarian Darumaka
- Open 3 Gifts: Charmander, Chimchar, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Fennekin, and Litten
- Send 3 Gifts with a Sticker attached: Buneary, and Bunnelby
- Trade a Pokemon: Paras, and Combee
The Pokemon Go Lunar New Year 2023 ends on January 23, 2023, at 8 PM local time, so make sure to complete the Field Research tasks before the event ends.
