Trainers, Primal Rumblings is a new Special Research introduced in Pokemon Go ahead of Go Tour Hoenn.
Primal Rumblings Special Research is a two-step Research, featuring six different tasks. By completing the tasks, you will receive valuable items such as Pinap Berry, Razz Berry, Golden Razz Berry, Poke Ball, Great Ball, Star Piece, XP, Stardust, and a Ticket to choose between Ruby or Sapphire Go Tour Hoenn special bonuses.
You may ask isn’t this event supposed to start next Wednesday, but it looks like they did it just so they could make their Tour version choice, that’s why the last reward is the Ruby/Sapphire ticket.
That said, let’s take a look at the tasks and rewards.

Primal Rumblings 1/2
- Catch 5 Water, Electric, or Bug-type Pokemon: 20 Pinap Berry
- Catch 5 Fire, Gras, or Ground-type Pokemon: 20 Razz Berry
- Catch 10 Pokemon from the Hoenn region: 3 Golden Razz Berry
- Rewards: 2023 XP, and 2023 Stardust
Primal Rumblings 2/2
- Complete 5 Field Research tasks: 10 Poke Ball
- Power up Pokemon 10 times: 5 Great Ball
- Make 5 Great Curveball Throws: 1 Star Piece
- Rewards: 2023 XP, 2023 Stardust, and a Ruby/Sapphire ticket
