Skull Island: Rise of Kong Game Unexpectedly Leaked By Amazon Spain

A new King Kong game, Skull Island: Rise of Kong, was leaked by Amazon Spain ahead of its formal announcement. The product listings spotted on the website indicated that the game would be compatible with Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Notorious for leaking upcoming games before their official release, Amazon has, yet again, unintentionally revealed the existence of the third-person action-adventure game developed by GameMill Entertainment. Known for their works, such as Avatar: TLA – Quest for Balance and Nick All-Star Brawl, the studio appears to be the creative behind this new project.

Gematsu, a trusted source for game leaks and news, first spotted the listings. They promptly shared the links to the product pages and their discovery on their Twitter page, leading to a flurry of excited speculation among fans.

Although the listings included a tentative release date of December 31, 2024, this may be a placeholder, standard practice in the industry for games yet to announce a formal release date.

In an intriguing twist, Amazon’s product description, translated via Google, tantalizes potential players with a captivating plot: “Embark on a 3rd person action adventure to avenge the death of your parents at the hands of the ultimate alpha predator: Gaw.” Although the identity of “Gaw” is unknown, the statement surely adds a layer of intrigue to the upcoming game.

It’s still unclear whether Amazon’s leak was a mere slip-up or a strategic move. Nevertheless, the news has excited many gaming enthusiasts eager for more details about Skull Island: Rise of Kong.
