Neowiz surprises with BLANK. stake acquisition and marking a major move in the gaming industry

Well, well, well, as if we didn’t have many surprises today. But this surprise can definitely start a big change in the gaming sphere.

Neowiz, the publisher behind Lies of P, has made a significant move by acquiring a 21% stake in BLANK., a Polish game studio founded in early 2023 by former CD Projekt RED developers. The investment, totaling $17 million, solidifies a strategic partnership between the two entities. With the shared objective of boosting their presence in the global console market, Neowiz and BLANK. are destined to become formidable players in the industry.

This collaboration marks mere financial involvement, as both companies commit to evolving into highly competitive development studios. The partnership will extend beyond financial domains, promoting collaboration on diverse business opportunities. Neowiz, in particular, expects to leverage this synergy to secure its standing in the global console market.

Here are a few words coming from Seung-Cheol Kim, Neowiz Co-CEO:

“As a strategic investor, we view [BLANK.] as a studio poised to emerge as a formidable contender in the realm of AAA-quality gaming,”

“We also recognize substantial synergies between our experiences in crafting unique titles. BLANK.’s debut game features a structure, unlike the majority of narrative-driven games. With its distinctive take on the apocalypse, the experience will prove to be simultaneously refreshing and familiar for audiences, complete with intriguing twists.”
