Resident Evil 4 Remake Levels Up with Upcoming VR Mode Launching December 8

Capcom has revealed the release date for the highly anticipated VR mode of the Resident Evil 4 remake. Set to revolutionize the gaming experience, this mode will be available exclusively for PlayStation VR2 from December 8.

Gamers can look forward to diving into this new dimension as a free DLC update. Adding to the excitement, a demo version of the VR mode will also be released on the same day, offering a sneak peek into this immersive world.

While full details are yet to be confirmed, expectations are high that the VR update will allow players to experience the entire Resident Evil 4 remake in a virtual reality setting. This follows the footsteps of the VR mode for Resident Evil Village, released earlier in February, which successfully transported players into the story’s heart with its full VR gameplay. The use of VR2 Sense controllers in these modes adds a layer of realism, with features like vibration, recoil, and resistance enhancing the player’s immersion.

The PlayStation VR2, priced at $549.99 / €599.99 / £529.99, offers a package that includes the PS VR2 headset, the innovative PS VR2 Sense controllers, and stereo headphones, setting the stage for an unparalleled gaming experience.

This announcement, shared via Capcom’s official Twitter handle, marks a significant moment in the evolution of the Resident Evil series, promising to deliver a fresh and engaging perspective to this beloved horror saga. As December 8 draws near, anticipation is building for what is set to be a landmark release in virtual reality gaming.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
