How Pokémon GO players might find themselves owing PokéCoins to Niantic?

Trainers, it’s important to be aware of how chargebacks can affect your PokéCoins balance in Pokémon GO. If you’ve ever requested a refund for PokéCoins, there’s a chance that your account might show a negative balance or shall we call it a debt? This usually happens if you’ve spent some of those coins in the shop before the refund was processed.

What does this mean for you? Well, until you settle this negative balance, either by earning back the PokéCoins through gameplay or purchasing more, you’ll be unable to claim any boxes from the shop, and yes, this includes the Free Box.

We know this is not something new, but it is something players need to know. We need to stay informed and alert about their in-game transactions. Remember, if your account shows a negative balance and you haven’t requested a chargeback, it might just be a bug. In such cases, your bets option is to contact.

You can contact them here, or through their official X account.

A big shoutout to Pokémon Global News and PokeDaxi for reminding us that this can happen, and it’s no fun at all.
