There’s a way for you to activate Ray Tracing in Palworld

Modder ‘R3MIND_OFFICIAL’ has crafted a unique method enabling PC users to integrate Ray Tracing into Palworld, significantly enhancing the game’s visual dynamics. By simply adjusting specific settings in the game’s configuration file or by downloading a specially modified config file, players can unlock these improved graphics. R3MIND_OFFICIAL has showcased the impact of this tweak through comparison screenshots, revealing notably enhanced reflections and ambient occlusion, courtesy of the ray-traced effects.

It’s essential to understand that this tweak introduces only partial Ray Tracing effects. As such, it doesn’t deliver the complete spectrum of Ray Tracing capabilities, and players might notice some minor visual irregularities due to the lack of native Ray Tracing support in Palworld. However, for those with advanced GPUs, this modification could significantly enhance their gaming experience.

In addition to Ray Tracing, this mod amplifies the quality of Global Illumination and PostFX effects and ensures the game runs on the DX12 API, elevating the overall visual quality.

Players keen to explore this visual upgrade can download the Ray Tracing Mod from here.

Mod Details

What it does?

  • Enables some of the RayTracing functions
  • Switches the rendering API from DirectX11 to DirectX12

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
