FromSoftware does not have plans for Elden Ring 2, at least for now

Critics and player communities were unanimous in proclaiming Elden Ring as nothing less than a colossal commercial success, with over 23 million copies sold to date. However, Hidetaka Miyazaki, the head of FromSoftware and the game director on Elden Ring, seems to have some different plans, stating that for now, there are no immediate plans for another expansion or a sequel after the released Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree in June.

As Miyazaki shared in his recent interview with IGN Japan, he finally opened up on the game’s future. He has hinted at a great break from the series but did not announce Shadow of the Erdtree as the final chapter. “I won’t say it’s the end,” he said, hinting at more possibilities and newer ideas. “We have not been working on some other DLC or a sequel. This DLC will give a little bit more of an extended break, but it’s not over yet.

Shadow of the Erdtree is the expansion that Elden Ring fans should be looking forward to. FromSoftware has been calling this its most significant expansion so far. The expansion comes with 10 new and more boss fights, and at the same time, players will also be able to access a new map with a size almost that of Limgrave. Shadow of the Erdtree will be released on June 21 for $39.99 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S.
