The baby Pokémon are taking over Pokémon GO, and to be honest, it is about time that we show some appreciation to them.
The newly announced event in Pokémon GO, Cleffa Hatch Day, is scheduled to happen on April 28, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the featured Pokémon is Cleffa, which is already obvious.
Cleffa, the Star Shape Pokémon will be hatching more frequently from 2km Eggs, and Trainers will also have an increased chance of hatching Shiny Cleffa. Who doesn’t love a Shiny Pokémon, right?
As with every event, there are going to be some bonuses, and they are good, if you ask me.
Cleffa Hatch Day bonuses
- 2x Candy from hatching Eggs.
- Increased chance of hatching Shiny Cleffa.
- 2km Eggs will drop more frequently from PokéStops.
However, these aren’t the only bonuses, and it seems that we will also have bonuses that will be active before the event starts.
Cleffa Hatch Day extended bonuses
There is an event bonus, that will be active only throughout the Cleffa Hatch Day event, and that is 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs ae placed in Incubators during this time.
- Event-themed Field Research tasks will be dropping from spinning Photo Discs and PokéStops, and if you complete them, you will earn Stardust and XP.
- Ultra Hatch Day Box coming to the Pokémon GO Web Store, and it will be available to Trainers for $19.99, and they will get 15 Super Incubators, ten Basic Incubators and five Poffins.
- In-game Hatch Box bundle coming for 925 PokéCoins, and inside you will find five Super Incubators, five Basic Incubators and two Lucky Eggs.
The Cleffa Hatch Day will be filled with a free (but expiring) Timed Research where Trainers can get a Super Incubator and XP at no cost. This free Timed Research expires on April 28, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. local time, so keep in mind to complete the tasks and collect the rewards before that date.
The same is for the paid Timed Research, where Trainers for $1 can get event-exclusive Timed Research access, as well as a bonus. The paid Timed Research must be completed before the event ends.

The only task is to hatch an Egg and walk 2km. That is all you have to do. I am also puzzled, because I am used to having hard tasks to complete.
