Trainers, a new update v0.145.0 is on the way and according to the changelog, Niantic will launch a GoFest worldwide event from June 13-June 16, 2019.

Last year, on May 11, during the GoFest 2018 event in Chicago, Niantic announced a global challenge in which Trainers had to work together to complete challenges in order to open the final Bonus reward and unlocked Zapdos as a Raid Boss for 3 hours.
We would like to see a better worldwide event this year, so fingers crossed!
