Pokémon GO Lechonk shiny rate, what are the odds of catching shiny Lechonk?

Attention, Trainers! Pokémon GO and Niantic have recently unleashed an update that’s making waves in the community. Why? It introduces us to the first-ever shiny Pokémon from the new Paldea region: Lechonk, along with its evolved forms, Oinkologne Male and Oinkologne Female.
This rollout is part of the Adventures Abound Season, which adds a fresh roster of Pokémon like Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quazxly from the Paldea region. But let’s cut to the chase – the true star of this update is none other than Lechonk, the only shiny Pokémon introduced from Paldea. If your Pokédex has a shiny-shaped hole in it, you’ll be thrilled to know that Lechonk can be caught in the wild, but only after you complete specific milestones such as Lechonk’s Adventure and Collection Challenges.
Now, what happens when the event concludes? Don’t worry; Lechonk and its shiny variant aren’t going anywhere. They’ll still be available through 2 km Eggs. To take your Lechonk to the next evolutionary stage and turn it into an Oinkologne, you’ll need to collect 50 Lechonk Candies. So, stock up!
Now, for the million-dollar question: What are the odds of finding a shiny Lechonk? We’ve got you covered. After scrutinizing data gathered from the Pokémon GO community, we can report that the shiny rate for Lechonk hovers at around 0.4% or 1 in 250 encounters. Keep in mind, of course, that these rates can vary due to the randomness inherent in Pokémon GO’s shiny mechanics.
Caught a shiny Lechonk? We’re all ears. Share your experiences, and let’s keep this conversation rolling.
Have two shiney lechonkers.. the first was from the field research on day one thinking it was part of the research and the other in the wild.
Id agree. With over 300 caught from debut and no shiney so far Pokemon schematics myst play a part otherwise the 1-250 would have happened.
I accidentally caught one, didn’t know there was even a shiny Lechonk
