Trainers, Verdant Wonders launched and a new Collection Challenge is now available to all Pokemon Go players worldwide. The Collection Challenge offers Stardust, XP, and Pokemon encounters as rewards, so let’s find out more below.
Verdant Wonders is an event created to celebrate the return of Zarude to Pokemon Go. But, unfortunately, Zarude is locked behind a paywall now. But Shiny Flabébé, Flower Crown Cottonee, the new set of Field Research tasks, and the Collection Challenge are free of charge.
Shiny Flabébé makes its first appearance in Pokemon Go, and you can find it in different regions around the world:
- Red Flower Flabébé: Appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
- Blue Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Asia-Pacific region
- Yellow Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Americas
Also, as a bonus surprise, you can encounter White and Orange Flower Flabébé, no matter where you are.
Verdant Wonders Jungle Collection Challenge
- Catch a Bulbasaur
- Evolve Bulbasaur into Ivysaur
- Catch a Cottonee
- Evolve Cottonee into Whimsicott
- Catch a Oddish
- Evolve Oddish into Gloom
- Catch a Hoppip
- Evolve Hoppip into Skiploom
- Catch a Shroomish
- Evolve Shroomish into Breloom
- Rewards: 5000 XP, 2500 Stardust, and Flower Crown Cottonee
Rogue of the Jungle Field Research Tasks
As we mentioned, new Verdant-themed Field Research tasks are also available. Completing these tasks will lead to an encounter with, the following Pokemon and their shiny forms:

- Poliwag
- Marill
- Slugma
- Cottonee wearing a flower crown
- Pansage
- Pansear
- Panpour
