We will have a look at the Water/Ice wave that is coming to Pokemon Go, hopefully for Christmas, and we expect to see the release of new Sea, Land and Sky themed Gen 3 Pokemon sometime in 2018. Before continuing to read, please have in mind that the following is just a speculation.
The main wave of 50 Pokemon Gen 3 were the Starters, the Baby Pokemon and the “1st Route” Pokemon. This is everything that does not fit good with the Land, Sea and Sky themes.
We all know very well that the next wave consists mainly of Water Types and Ice types Gen 3 together with Delibird. This is the 21 Pokemon altogether. Wingull and Surskit did not make this wave of Pokemon, so our opinion is that they will be included in the Flying or Sky wave.
We think that the Land wave will consist of Whismur, Loudred, Exploud, Nosepass, Aron, Lairon, Aggron, Numel, Camerupt, Torkoal, Trapinch, Vibrava, Flygon, Cacnea, Cacturne, Baltoy, Claydol, Lileep, Cradily, Anorith and Armaldo.
The Sky wave will consist of Taillow, Swellow, Wingull, Pelipper, Surskit, Masquerain, Nincada, Ninjask, Shedinja, Swablu, Altaria, Lunatone, Solrock, Tropius, Chimecho, Bagon, Shelgon, Salamence, Beldum, Metang and Metagross.
Each of these groups has 21 Pokemon. Our personal assumption is that the Sky wave will be the last one, mainly because it includes the Pseudo-Legendaries. Clamperl, Huntail and Gorebyss also were not included in the Sea wave. They probably will be released as a part of a Valentine’s Day Event, together with Volbeat and Illumise.
