Pokémon GO Porygon Community Day Classic on January 20, 2024

Trainers, circle January 20, 2024, because the ninth Community Day Classic in Pokémon GO is bringing back a fan-favorite, Porygon. This event is not just about catching Porygon, but also its shiny variant, and you get the chance to score Tri-Attack as a Charged Attack.

Rewinding to January 22, 2022, Pokémon GO introduced the Community Day Classic, starting with Bulbasaur. This addition offered players double the fun with two Community Days in a single month, complete with shiny versions and exclusive bonuses. The response? Players loved it. It was a hit, giving everyone a chance to engage more with the game and the community.

Niantic’s plan to keep the Community Day Classic events going is great news. Why? Because it’s a perfect chance for trainers to catch Pokémon they might have missed earlier. Take the Porygon Community Day, for example, that originally happened back on September 20, 2020, now it’s coming around again.

So, as we gear up for another round of classic community fun, let’s take a quick look at all the Pokémon that have been featured in the past Community Day Classic events.
